I purchased this as a gift for my 9 yr. old step-daughter for Christmas. She absolutely LOVES it! Favorite parts: invisible ink pen w/ light to reveal & capacity to record msg. She gets taken full use of the extra space (under the web) to lock up her pens and lipsticks from her younger sisters! The journal itself is seen as a little larger & we're realized make sure you the simple for the key/locks-doesn't feel as if it could possibly handle a tough turn, like some kids may do. Overall tho for this population-fabulous toy!
