Madame Alexander 18 After School Cool - Favorite Friends Collection for sale

Madame Alexander 18 After School Cool - Favorite Friends Collection for sale
Just like all Madame Alexander dolls, the "Favorite Friends" dolls all have beautiful faces with delicate, realistic features--They've been the more common doll in your family for quite some time. I received one each Christmas during a vacation and am now buying them for my granddaughter. "Favorite Friends" employ a cloth body and plastic arms, legs and head. In comparison to similar dolls the price is amazingly low and a fantastic value. Having taught inside the Elementary grades for 32 years I've had contact with lots of girls and their dolls. As with the American Girl" Collection, any of the "Favorite Friends" really are a wonderful, emotionally healthy and age appropriate choice for today's girls in that they're able to relate far more easily to dressing their "friend" for any soccer match in lieu of hooking a bra or getting ready to embark on to start a date.

I gave "After School Cool" to my four year old granddaughter last Christmas. I'd read reviews of issues in hairstyling. However, even though repeated combing and changing hair styles, we now have experienced no problems--hair clips, etc. for younger girls(toddlers) are simply befitting this doll. If hair begans to become little unruly, wet and apply hardly any regular hair conditioner, towel dry and magnificence. Following a year our doll's hair looks just as nice as when she arrived. Clothing is modified every day-- is durable possesses remained in perfect condition. Most clothes designed for an 18" doll will fit--although not all. Several of the cheaper clothng is cut too small, esp. for the arms. If shoes--boots are challenging access it, rub a trifle powder on the doll's foot along with the shoe and they will slide on more esily.

My granddaughter has experienced only one disappointment or frustration on this doll. The cloth body's certainly more hugable compared to a totally plastic doll--though the manner in which it can be designed enables absolutely no way in which it can sit or stand without being propped against something, like a pillow. If your tea party or ride with a horse is within the agenda, many assistance will be needed. From the having jointed Madame Alexander Dolls that could be posed in standing, kneeling or sitting--legs straight out or bent in the knees, positions. I'd personally gladly have paid a bit more for our "Katy" whether it can have enabled her to take a seat to be with her horse without needing to be tied on!

Tout ensemble--Beautiful doll at an extrodinary price!
