Barbie My Favorite Time Capsule 1962 Brunette Bubble Cut Doll for sale

Barbie My Favorite Time Capsule 1962 Brunette Bubble Cut Doll for sale
1962 Brunette Bubblecut Barbie Doll is a fantastic doll, but she's not only a perfect reproduction in the original. This won't detract through the doll's quality and looks, though. I have deboxed the doll, and that i own genuine vintage versions on the doll, so I am evaluating this doll from the standpoint of accuracy, look and feel, and overall quality of an deboxed display doll.

My main critique in regards to the doll concerns the doll's hair. It is very silky and shiny to become a good match to the original. The dolls from 1962 stood a very coarse, dull-sheened hair fiber, that holds it's style well. Those 1962 hairstyles in many cases are found perfectly intact 45 years later, even dolls which have been used. Mattel should research and duplicate that hair fiber for these repro dolls. Not only would it be considered a good match towards the originals, even so the dolls would require less 'setting lotion' or whatever glue Mattel uses to sculpt the hairstyles for these repro dolls.

The facial screening is a plus, but it's more just like a 1966 doll than a 1962 doll. The shape with the lips, the color in the lips and eye shadow, is much more just like a 'high-color' Color Magic Barbie doll or 1966 Barbie with Lifelike Bendable Legs. This doll will need to have pink or coral lips, as red lips were less common in 1962 than these folks were in other years. Regardless, will still be an extremely visually pleasing face paint pattern.

The fashion reproduction of Enchanted Evening is better than the last reproductions in the fashion, and it looks top notch and fits well within the doll. The style alone will be worth the cost, because it is of very good quality.

Overall, an incredible doll, and also the reproduction booklet is a superb bonus. Worth the price, without a doubt.
